For more than 20 years I have been employed in the health care sector. Since May 2013, I have worked at MC Loudon, first as a doctor’s assistant and now as a practice support officer for elderly care. As a member of the practice support team, I have a coordinating, motivational, advisory, supportive and accompanying role.
I visit the elderly at home and evaluate them regularly. An important part of my work is to maintain contact between the children and caregivers of our elderly clients, as well as contact with all of the health and welfare authorities.
Loneliness and vulnerability are unfortunately all too common. To this end, I want to establish a Friends of Loudon Medical Centre Foundation to the purpose of engaging this target group in fun activities to break the daily routine, meaning they always have the memories of a special, fun day to look back on.
I want the elderly to get old happily and safely.
